Among the many non-profit charities Arena is supporting, this year, Arena was also announced as an official patron for a charitable organization, "Soldier On" which is looking to help mentally and physically wounded Australian soldiers. The singer said: "It’s vital that Australian soldiers have access to support when they return from overseas, and "Soldier On" will make a much needed difference in the lives of wounded veterans and their families. In 2000, Arena began dating French artist Vincent Mancini, sometimes credited as Vincent Hare. Together, they have a son Gabriel Joseph, born 17 November 2005.
