Maurício Milani "Shogun" Rua ( born November 25, 1981) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who currently fights for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and 2005 Pride Middleweight Grand Prix Champion. As of January 2013, Rua is currently ranked as the #7 Light Heavyweight in the world by Sherdog. Rua is known for his elite striking skills, with 18 of his 21 career wins coming by way of knockout.
