Liam Pickering : biography

Liam Michael Pickering (born 9 September 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer in the VFL/AFL.

Media and managing careers

At the end of his career, he became sports marketing manager for Fila.

He is now a player manager for IMG, looking after such Australian Football League (AFL) stars as Gary Ablett, Jr., Justin Koschitzke, Lance Franklin and Hawthorn premiership coach Alastair Clarkson.

He currently co-hosts a Saturday-morning radio show with Mark Allen called Off The Fence on Melbourne station SEN 1116. During the AFL season Pickering hosts Off The Bench with Craig Hutchison on Win Television He also appears regularly as a panelist on the Fox Sports programme "AFL Teams".

Football career

He played for the Geelong Football Club and North Melbourne Football Club. He played 102 games with Geelong from 1993–1999, before his retirement from AFL football. He was also a talented cricketer who played 171 matches for North Melbourne Cricket Club in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition.
