Josh McCloughan : biography

Joshua McCloughan (born 12 December 1975 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is an retired Australian football (soccer) player who played as a central defender. He was known for playing for the in the A-League competition. He currently manages the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) in the new APL competition.

Early career

He played for Palm Beach for 9 years. He also played for the Brisbane Strikers before being signed by the Brisbane Roar.

Brisbane Roar

In 2005 he signed with A league club Brisbane Roar where he was a first team regular. He played 16 games in his first season with the club. In 2010 he retired from professional football. He played over 85 games, scoring 5 goals despite playing as a defender.
