Johnny Bower : biography

John William Bower (born John Kiszkan on November 8, 1924), nicknamed "The China Wall", is a Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender.
Awards
- Hap Holmes Memorial Award winner in 1952, 1957, 1958
- Vezina Trophy winner in 1961, 1965.
- Stanley Cup Championships in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1967.
- Selected to NHL First All-Star Team in 1961.
- Played in 1961 NHL All-Star Game.
- Les Cunningham Award winner in 1956, 1957, 1958.
- Calder Cup winner in 1948, 1951, 1953.
- In 1998, he was ranked number 87 on The Hockey News’ list of the 100 Greatest Hockey Players.
- Inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1976.
