Eleanor of Portugal, Queen of Aragon : biography

1328 – 1348

Infanta Eleanor of Portugal ( ) was a Portuguese infanta (princess), the youngest daughter of King Afonso IV of Portugal and his first wife Beatrice of Castile.

Born on 3 February 1328, she became Queen consort of Aragon by marriage to Peter IV on 15 November 1347.

After less than a year as a Queen, Eleanor died in Jérica on 29 October 1348, during the Black Death.
