Derrick Jensen (born December 19, 1960) is an American author and environmental activist (and critic of mainstream environmentalism) living in Crescent City, California.Endgame, Volume 1: The Problem of Civilization, Seven Stories Press (ISBN 1-58322-730-X), p. 17. Jensen has published several books questioning and critiquing modern civilization and its values, including The Culture of Make Believe and Endgame. He holds a B.S. in Mineral Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, which he attended on a scholarship,"…and I couldn’t afford to go to college otherwise."
