Carl Scarborough (July 3, 1914 Benton, Illinois – May 30, 1953 Indianapolis, Indiana) was an American racecar driver. He died from heat exhaustion shortly after his 12th place finish in the 1953 Indianapolis 500, which was one of the hottest-temperature Indianapolis 500s that drivers had competed in up to 1956.Yates, Brock W.
